The samples from our first field campaign in Cameroon came back to Wageningen with Barbara! We are very-super-extremely happy to have them here, as this means we can also get started with the lab work now. They include wood, bark and soil from almost 200 trees. All the right permissions arrived the day before Barbara was about to fly back – on a flight that she had already delayed for 5 days – so the timing could not have been better.
The coming months we will work on the analysis as well as start planning the second Timtrace field trip. Indonesia will be next by the looks of it!
