Fieldwork coming up!
Barbara and Laura will be collecting wood samples in Cameroon all of September. We use increment corers to sample material from live trees, so we don’t have to cut them down. We’re both complete rookies in tree coring however, but luckily we had Mart to show us how it’s done. Some Dutch oak trees had to substitute for tropical hardwood – but we feel pretty ready for our first tropical tree cores!
